How to get Factiva for free (for non-commercial purposes)

On September 12, 2012 , in News , by admin

Factiva, owned by Dow Jones (owned by News Corp), offers access to the world’s newspaper and magazines. Factiva is now free via the State Libraries of NSW and Victoria; see our attached guide on how to access Factiva for free.

According to Factiva’s agreement with the State libraries in Australia, the online Factiva access via the State libraries is intended for individual use only and is not to be used for any commercial purpose. If you have any questions about this free service, or want to clarify legitimate usage, please contact either The State Library of NSW (www.sl.nsw.gov.au) or your relevant State library, or Factiva (www.factiva.com)

This post is not a promotion of Factiva, is not sponsored by Factiva or any library, and we don’t have an opinion on the quality of services provided. This article appears for the benefit of individuals seeking access to information under the terms intended by Factiva and the State Library of NSW.
